Founded in 2022 by Art Tadevosyan, Mad Sound Factory is a Yerevan-based crew of engineers and artists building analog, digital and hybrid instruments with a taste for unpredictability. Their first major success, The Drop, is a semi-modular groovebox combining rhythm station, drum module and noise generator—a hands-on machine built for raw, live electronic music beyond grids, presets and overprogramming. During the Sound Bank Workshop participants can bring their own field recordings and, together with the team, turn them into a personal Sound Bank card — exactly the same way Sound Banks are created for customers. Participants will leave with their own custom instrument containing up to 12 original samples. sec (sound enthusiastic community) is a non-commercial project that aims to create a self-organised and self-sustained community of musicians, artists, technicians and other enthusiasts interested in sound. It is supported by its members so consider donations when visiting the space.
