The Travelling Troubadours’ Music Atelier is a laboratory where, in collaboration with SEC and students groups from Yerevan, Tehran and Essen, music instruments are built and compositions are developed to create a large collective performance in the Botanical Gardens of Yerevan. In conversation with the plants, a procession emerges, sounding like a storm coming over the mountains, like amphibians by a pond in the woods, or perhaps like a strange superorganism discovering its own multifaceted voice in the season of harvests. The workshop is hosted by The Travelling Troubadours collective: sound artists and musicians Pia Achternkamp, Diane Barbé, Nino Dava, Pablo Diserens, Lisa Mondlane and Joe Summers. The Music Atelier will operate the 2-day workshop on 27 & 29 September, and offer performances on the two events of the NOPA program on 2 & 4 October. You can only participate if you are able to attend both days of the workshop, not only one, and if you are free in the evenings of the performances.
